LPF Press Release

LPF Can Help | Hardship Scholarships

The Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) recognizes that sometimes people find themselves in very difficult life circumstances where they cannot afford our *LPQualified (LPQ) or **LPCertified (LPC) courseware. As such, a limited number of Hardship Scholarships may be awarded to applicants who are willing to share their circumstances with us.

The more candid you are, with your circumstances and the more information you provide, the less questions there remain unanswered when your application comes up for review. Scholarships are issued once a quarter.

In order to qualify for either a LPQ or LPC course scholarship you must meet first meet their eligibility requirements. Please review the LPQ requirements and/or LPC requirements carefully before you apply.

  • Cover Letter & Resume (demonstrating LPC eligibility)
    • with Education & Work History
  • Minimum of 500 word essay, sharing the circumstances of your application

Expectations of Hardship Scholarship Recipients

It is the primary goal of the LPF to advance the Loss Prevention profession, contribute to, and improve our industry. With this in mind, it is in our best interest to ensure that recipients of the Hardship Scholarship succeed. As such, recipients will be offered a mentor from the LPF alumni to provide guidance and feedback as they progress through the course material. It remains the sole responsibility of the recipient to complete the curriculum and take the related exams.

To ensure that the Hardship Scholarship recipients maintain the commitment level deemed necessary by the LPF Scholarship Committee, we recommend that they satisfy the below expectations:

  • Complete a minimum of one (1) module per calendar month
  • Complete the entire courseware within six (6) months
  • Complete the related exam within one (1) year (exam fees are the responsibility of the recipient)
