LPQualified LPQ Requirements

Experienced loss prevention professionals know that maintaining and keeping a good name is vital to a security career. Likewise, the LPF maintains the LPQualified (LPQ) name by establishing eligibility requirements which in turn protects the value and hard work of those who take the LPQ course or carry the LPQ credential.

The below requirements apply: ♦ to LPQ course enrollees, ♦ to LPQ exam participants, ♦ and to LPQ certificants.

General Eligibility Requirements:

  • They must have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent.
  • They must be free from pending felony charges or convictions (or military equivalent of court martial charges and/or convictions).
  • They must be free from pending misdemeanor charges or convictions involving moral turpitude ("moral turpitude" means an offense that calls into question the integrity or judgment of the offender, such as fraud, bribery, corruption, theft, embezzlement, solicitation, etc.).

Specific LPF Requirements:

  • They must uphold our code of ethics.
  • They do not share LPF courseware or LPF exam questions.
  • They use the LPQualified (LPQ) designation appropriately, such as using it only after successfully passing the exam.

*All international applicants must take the LPQ prep-course before taking the exam to gain their LPQ credential.
