LPQ EXAM DESCRIPTION In order to receive the LPQualified (LPQ) designation you must take and pass the LPQ exam. The exam, which was developed by loss prevention professionals, is 100 questions in length. Each question is multiple choice and varies in degree of difficulty. The exam is based on the LPQ courseware and focuses on three primary topic areas:
It is important to note that you do not have to purchase the LPQ courseware to take the LPQ. The LPQ courseware is a study tool designed to aid those who wish to earn their LPQ. LPQ EXAM SCHEDULE Please note that the schedule below displays the windows that are open for individuals to take the exam. In general the facilities are open from Monday through Friday and some are open on Saturdays as well. The hours of operation are dependent upon each individual testing facility. After registering for the exam you will receive an 800 number within 24-48 hours to call and register for the exam. They will help you schedule a time and location for the exam date you have chosen. **Applicants are allowed to use a "4 function calculator". In the event you do not have one, the testing software has a built in calculator on the screen. You just have to click the button and use it. Cell phones are not permitted to be used as calculators.
The exam is administered throughout the country by our test facilitator Comira. EXAM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS In order to qualify to take the LPQ exam, you must have graduated from high school or have achieved a GED equivalent. Also you are not eligible to receive your LPQ if you have been convicted of a felony or a general court marshal. Additionally, you will not be eligible if you have been convicted of a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude ("moral turpitude" means an offense that calls into question the integrity or judgment of the offender, such as fraud, bribery, corruption, theft, embezzlement, solicitation, etc). You will not be eligible to receive your LPQ certification if you have not met these requirements. HOW IS THE LPQ EXAM SCORED? HOW IS THE PASSING SCORE DETERMINED? Your results are based on whether you meet or exceed the passing score as determined by the committee. WHAT INFORMATION WILL BE SENT TO ME ABOUT MY SCORE? Should you fail the examination, you must wait a minimum of 30 days prior to registering for another administration. WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY SCORE?
