The Loss Prevention Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2006, by industry leading professionals to serve the loss prevention and asset protection industry. Our mission is to advance the loss prevention profession by providing relevant, convenient and challenging educational resources.

We support this mission through our two certification programs, LPQualified (LPQ) and LPCertified (LPC), our two on-line, accredited courses, LPQ and LPC, and through our loss prevention membership program.

The Loss Prevention Foundation, in conjunction with the Military Officers Association of America and retailers across our country are proud to present The "Hire A Vet" Program.

This program assists honorably discharged veterans, soon to be separated active duty military, members of the Guard or Reserve into gaining higher end employment in the Loss Prevention / Asset Protection Field.

LPQ Opens Retailers Doors to College Students.

The Loss Prevention Foundation is excited to introduce, the Academic and Retail Partnership Program which connects colleges to retailers through students who are enrolled in criminal justice, retail management or security management courses.

Interested students pursuing studies for a career in a related retail field will enroll in the online LPQualified (LPQ) course which teaches the fundamentals of retail loss prevention. After passing the LPQ exam, the student, upon graduation, will be granted an interview with one of the select  retailers in the program.
